Bipora is an on-device QR scanner. The short version: we don't collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Scans, history, and generated codes stay on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics SDKs, and no advertising trackers in the app.
Bipora uses your camera solely to detect and decode QR codes and barcodes. Camera frames are processed in real time on the device and are discarded immediately after decoding. At no point is video or image data recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.
When you scan a URL, Bipora may perform an on-device risk assessment and, where enabled, query reputable public threat-intelligence services using only the scanned URL — never your identity or device identifiers. These queries contain no information that links back to you.
Bipora Pro subscriptions and one-time upgrades are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment information. Subscription management and refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies.
We do not sell, rent, or share any personal information with third parties, because we do not collect any. If this ever changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.
Bipora is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no personal information from anyone. If you believe a child has provided us information (which our design makes impossible by default), contact us and we will address it immediately.
All data lives on your device, protected by your device's own encryption and passcode. To delete all Bipora data, simply delete the app — there is no server-side copy to erase.
If we update this policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated revision date. Material changes will be highlighted within the app before they take effect.
